I just love it each year at this time in November. All the flags waving and ceremonial heads hung down in honoring our ‘ allen Heroes’ and ‘Brave Warriors’. Hogwash! Take the time and go onto You Tube or wherever and watch the 1971 Winter Soldier Hearings. See actual former soldiers explaining all the horror and devastation our government orchestrated through these men. They were used as ‘Pawns on a chessboard’, just like what was done for all the phony wars since WW2. All the so called ‘Police Actions’ and pre-emptive illegal acts perpetrated by fake leaders through their spineless (or accompliced) military brass, most of it based on lies and disinformation.
The corporate sports world, dominated by those who run our empire, falls in line. This past weekend all the sports teams wore the ‘colors of war’ khaki military hats and jackets during their games. It was a Lovefest replete with honor guards and moist eyed singers celebrating through our National Anthem. Many in those crowds of adoring fans (short for its origin of ‘Fanatics’) actually think that we, America, is still at War. The dictator Trump and his Cabal even changed the name to War Department. You see, when a nation is at war the need for loyalty expands. Anyone not in step with this fascination for American Exceptionalism must be a traitor or ‘Terrorist Supporter’. This is how far down the rabbit hole we have fallen.
The sad truth of it all is how our military has been used and abused for so long. The men and women who join ( since we have no draft now) and put on those lovely uniforms seem to misunderstand. Like those National Guard personnel who were pushed into active duty during the illegal and immoral war on Iraq (I refuse to call that the Iraq War), Trump and Co. are now doing it again within our nation. Does anyone remember, or if too young, to revisit the Kent State Massacre in 1970? This is how close our country is dangling towards a ‘Fall to Fascism’. Let’s hope more of our young soldiers, sailors, airmen and Guard begin saying ‘No More Kings’ when called upon to do the dirty against innocent foreigners, here and abroad. They all deserve better.

I agree completely with the writer….I’m waiting for the day when one,and hopefully,thousands of our troops,both abroad and now unbelievably here in our own American cities,say”Enough already .We will not be a part of this misplaced,dangerous and ever greedy military -industrial complex anymore…You politicians in those suits change into your battle fatigues and fight these corrupt ,unjust excursions for military and economic profit.”
