We first have to understand, in a darkly humorous way, just how far down the rabbit hole the Trump Regime has fallen. I take it back, it is NOT so humorous at all folks! Looking how ‘Life imitates art’ we should watch Don Siegel’s 1956 film Invasion of the Body Snatchers. Factor out the intent of the story which was the fear of Communism during the Cold War. Instead, look at the storyline when alien pods took over the minds of people while they slept. The awakened person loses all emotion and walks around like a zombie. So, the actual reverse of it all is how the Trump Regime, with Stephen Miller and JD Vance leading the way while pushing along their stumbling, malignant narcissist leader, has been taken over by fascist pods.
Since this president and his ‘Ship of fools’ took power everything they have been saying and doing is the opposite of what should have occurred. Just ask any candid working stiff who has been on the bullet end of this obscenity. The millions of our citizens who are going to either lose health coverage or have to pay through the nose for it should be aware by now (The real crime is that the ACA AKA Obama Care was miles behind having true Medicare for All because Obama caved on in 2009). The hundreds of millions of consumers who are paying this ‘Tariff Sales Tax’ when they shop should start to realize who benefits: The treasury is losing $billions due to tax cuts for the super rich, so consumers are forced to replenish those lost funds to make up the difference. The closing of needed safety net federal programs and laying off of tens of thousands of federal workers is indicative of this Heritage Foundation nonsense. And now we come to that Rubicon…
When the Trump Regime continued to use their ICE thugs as 21st Century Storm Troopers, the line was being reached. Yet, too many MAGA faithful, like a neighbor of mine, still stood with Trump as the savior of western civilization. They still believe that those ‘damn illegals are coming in like locusts to rob us, rape us and fill us up with opiates’. As long as it wasn’t hitting home who cared if the brown skinned usurpers got roughed up? Who cared if the good (not to them) citizens protested, and they got roughed up a bit in the process? After all, those ICE agents were here to ‘Cleanse our country’ of the people that Trump himself said came from ‘Shithole countries’.
First the regime called in the National Guard to ‘Protect the ICEMEN’. The outcry to that was almost deafening, when even Republican libertarians protested the breaking of the Posse Comitatus Act that forbid using the military for domestic policing. Then the *** hit the Rubicon when 10 year veteran ICEMAN Jonathan Ross pumped three fatal shots into the head of motorist Renee Good, mother of three and lover of her pooch sitting in the back seat. She was attempting to drive away from being harassed by Ross and his fellow thugs dressed like a SWAT team at some armed bank robbery. Her last words were “I’m not mad at you” to his partner as she turned her wheels AWAY from Ross. Pop! Pop! Pop! and the woman’s car crashed down the street. Thank goodness she could no longer hear anything, because either he or his fellow ICE thug exclaimed ‘Fucking Bitch!’.
The Rubicon was crossed that same day when all of the Trump Regime’s sycophant so-called leaders lied about what transpired, attempting to label the dead woman a ‘Domestic Terrorist’. They first sold the BS that Ross was injured by Good’s car until everyone could see on the videos that he was uninjured and walking like a true Storm Trooper. Ross, by the way, was a machine gunner in the phony Iraq War that the Bush/Cheney Cabal orchestrated in 2003. What better way to recruit a federal agent than a guy who knew how to shoot to kill? So, the whole basket of evil hung out that day and days to follow. Guess what? They have now finally ‘Crossed the Rubicon’.
