Amazing how so many so called ‘Good Christians’ don’t know squat about the man they worship as their redeemer. Those people have been encamped inside the MAGA tent that they obviously forgot, or never knew, what the man from Nazareth taught:
“Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others.”
“Do not neglect to do good and to share what you have, for such sacrifices are pleasing to God.”
“But he that is greatest among you shall be your servant.”
“You Pharisees are so careful to clean the outside of the cup and the dish, but inside you are filthy- full of greed and wickedness.”
“What sorrow awaits you experts in religious law! For you remove the key to knowledge from the people.”
To all good MAGAWORLD folks who respect the Super Rich that run our economy and political world: Here is what the man so many Sunday Service Christians call the Son of God said:
“A rich young man approached Jesus and asked what he must do to inherit eternal life, Jesus answered ‘If you want to be perfect , go sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven… then come, follow me.’ (The man walked away sad)”
“It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than it is for someone who is rich to enter the kingdom of God.”
They just passed a monstrous bill to cut funding for so much of our nation’s safety net to allow for more tax cuts that will aid the Super Rich. The mere pittance that us working stiffs (Duh, like 99+% or our populace) will save is like the crumbs the ants eat at a picnic. Meanwhile, millionaires, mega millionaires and billionaires will have more in their picnic baskets. Remember this you foolish, apathetic public: In 1961 when JFK took office the top federal income tax bracket was at 90%. When Reagan took office in 1981 the top rate was at 70%, which he got lowered to 50%. Do you know what it is now? It is at 37%. Do you think all those gated community fellow citizens have a great deal now? Perhaps they all should read what their hero taught about their obscene wealth.
By the way, as far as this crazy propagandized reaction by so many Americans to the undocumented (you know, the brown people who clean dishes, pick fruits and vegetables, cut up steers in packing house assembly lines, dig ditches and hammer on roofs in 95 degree swelter). Remember, all you good Christians and Jews who follow the Trumpster and his party, the reading from Leviticus 19:33-34:
“When a foreigner resides with you in your land, you must not oppress him. You must treat the foreigner living among you as native born and love him as yourself, for you were foreigners in the land of Egypt. I am the LORD your God.”
